It has been a joyful journey for us in Yr 2016, as we celebrate being one of the Top 15 Yummiest Cakes in Singapore (MSN Singapore) and Top 5 Gluten Free places to visit in Singapore!
On a personal level, I completed my studies in Food Allergies and had obtained certification in Managing an Allergy Free and Gluten Free Kitchen. In August, I gave birth to a baby girl who has brought so much joy in my life and laughter in the bakery.
Along with that, I am also excited to share the next great news with you! After working with Temasek Polytechnic Food Science Department for the last 6 months, our Diabetic Friendly products are certified Low Glycemic Index (Low G.I.). Multiple rounds of Intensive taste testing and accurate measurements of servings were done in order to obtain this important certification. With this certification, it is one more assurance for all our diabetic friends and their families.
The glycaemic index (GI) is a measure of how food containing carbohydrates raises blood sugar levels.
GI which ranges from 0 to 100, represents how much and how quickly a person’s blood sugar level rises after eating a food containing carbohydrates.
Carbohydrates with a low GI value are more slowly digested, absorbed and metabolized and cause a slower rise in blood glucose. This is beneficial in diabetics.
Food with low GI value can also make you feel fuller for a longer time.

In the last few months, we have also started hosting our in-store products on both Food Panda and Deliveroo platforms. If you happen to live within the zone, you may be able to get cake slices off our shelves without leaving your house.
Likewise, I have always believed in giving back to the society. This year is a special one. Besides the usual sponsorships and monetary donations we give to our supported charity organisations, I am so proud of my entire team who had volunteered our time together to help out at charity events.
