Our journey began with my youngest daughter, Heera—or “Hee-Hee,” as I affectionately call her. As a baby, she developed an unusual fondness for tangy flavors, particularly lemon. At just ten months old, her liking for sour flavors was both surprising and welcome, as I have always favored tartness as well.
Inspired by her palate, I created the Mango Passionfruit cake – a sweet and sour masterpiece crafted with the utmost care to be safe for even the youngest of eaters.
This cake, free from common allergens like nuts and dairy, was a hit with Hee-Hee and my family. When I introduced it to our customers, the response was overwhelmingly positive.
The perfect balance of sweet mango and tart passionfruit, complemented by creamy mango vanilla Chantilly and a zesty passionfruit curd jelly, has made it a Delcie’s classic. The addition of crunchy chia seeds and delicate osmanthus flowers provides a delightful textural element while enhancing the cake's nutritional value.
What began as a first birthday treat quickly became a customer favorite and a testament to our commitment to creating cakes that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences.
